Description
The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement with 15 jewels, 3 adjustments, which is working well. The movement is stamped with the Cyma calibre number 998. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made by the Amrok Watch Case Company, New York. The case has light surface marking and rubbing, and a couple of small “dings” to the back covers but overall it is in nice condition for a 1920s piece. The inside of the back cover has some surface scratching to the top.
The front cover has a small lens surrounded by blue enamel filled Roman numerals. A small amount of the enamel has come out over the years although hardly noticeable to the naked eye.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, the acrylic lens is in nice condition.
The white enamel dial is in nice condition. Note the special hour hand for half hunter watches, so that the hands can be distinguished between when the front cover is closed. Original blued steel hands.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.

All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.

Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the red 'Buy Now' button on each listing page.
