Description
The watch has a Swiss 10-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Thomas Russell & Son, Liverpool.
Thomas Russell & Son was a well respected business having achieved a Royal Warrant as watch and clock makers to the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. In 1881 the company started importing movements from Switzerland, such as the one we have in this particular watch.
The watch itself 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Cyclone model made by the Keystone Watch Case Company. The case has light surface and some mild bruising to the back but overall it is in nice condition for a 1920s piece.
The case and movement are not original to each other although approximately of the same age.
The acrylic lens is in nice condition.
The signed dial has a faint hairline crack between 9 o’clock and 11 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition with original blued steel hands.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
All Prices Include UK Postage (excluding Northern Ireland).
