Description
The watch has a Revue calibre 30 stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the name Mahlen, possibly the original retailer, a name we have seen before on Revue movements. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a presentation inscription from Rugby Gpo, 1934.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case is in nice condition with just light marking, nothing serious at all. The front cover has a small central lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.
Inside, there is a glass lens which is in nice condition (some reflection showing in the photos).
The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer, J Parriss, Rugby. The dial in lovely condition with original blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
