Description
The watch has a stem-winding movement, identified as by Cyma, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has light marking.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for London (import mark), 1918 with a sponsor’s mark for George Stockwell. From 1 June 1907, Stockwells acted as assay agents, facilitating the import into Britain of foreign gold and silver items which had to be assayed and hallmarked in a UK assay office before being released for retail.
The front and sides of the case are in good condition. The hinged case back has slight unevenness and little marks.
The acrylic lens is in good condition.
The dial is in good condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch comes with a single silver chain, hallmarked for Birmingham 1915, together with a silver fob. The fob has rose gold wash detail to the front shield. There are the remains of initials which has a previous owner has engraved into the shields but they are faint. Total weight of the chain and fob is 36g.
The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
All prices include UK postage.
