Description
The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which is engraved, ‘To M Gallon from Mother and Dad, Oct 19 1923’.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside all three covers for Birmingham 1922 with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison, a prolific case maker and supplier to various watch manufacturers. There is some slight unevenness, a bit more to the back of the watch. The back of the watch has the rubbed initials Mg which ties in which the inner inscription.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.
The dial is in lovely condition and it has the special half hunter hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
