Description
The watch has a stem-winding movement, signed Omega, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has details of medals and prizes won in the 1900 Paris exhibition. There is some scratching where the cover has been opened in the past.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 800 silver and there are Continental hallmarks inside the back covers, and an early Omega mark. The bezel and edge of the case back has a rose gold wash, some of which has rubbed off over the years. The back of the watch has initials to the cartouche.
The glass lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial has a little indentation between 3 and 4 and some light surface marking if viewed closely. Blued steel hands.
The watch comes with a single Churchill chain, 33cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The chain was probably originally silver plated but it has rubbed through to the base metal in places but it sits very nicely with the watch. Also included is a silver fob, hallmarked for 1936. The back of the fob has an engraving from the Swansea & District Football league to the winners of the senior cup.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
