Description
Antique golden brass fob for a Gentleman's pocket watch chain made by Barratt & Co to commemorate the Coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra.
Similar to the fobs I have supplied to Pinewood Studios.
(Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph).
Measures; 3.2cm height (including the top ring), 2.5cm width and weighs 2.9 grams.
Wonderful circular 'coin' shaped fob (with attractive beadwork around the inner circumferences) which carries to the front two slightly raised world globes and is clearly stamped in arched script; Barratt & Co's Sweets Are Pure British Empire.
The back carries the images of King Edward V11 & Queen Alexandra within a Royal Crown and is stamped in arched, slightly raised script; Coronation 1902 Made In Germany.
Robust and secure brass top ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain.
Excellent clean and bright condition with no damage or wear and just a tiny (micro) bit of very light overall patina and fine little surface scratches (all showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age.
Will arrive in a new velvet presentation pouch and be very securely and safely packed.
