Rare Victorian Canti'lever Walnut Jewellery Box

This is a rare and unusual late 19th Century (c.1880) Victorian antique walnut jewellery box, the top and front inlaid with wide geometric parquetry bands, the top with central square cartouche, the front with matching keyhole escutcheon. The canted corners are further inlaid. The box opens to reveal the fabulous original interior, each section lined in the original satin fabric which is in superb condition throughout. The lid fully opens so that it can be used to place items in when opened. Both sides open fully to allow easy access to your valuables. It has a working lock and key.
