Description
Rare palmwood and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane. The pommel to the top is silver, stamped with the London assay office mark and the date letter for 1919 and the makers mark for Frederick Toms. Plain silver mushroom pommel above the shaft which is palmwood carved with ridges to simulate bamboo. This is a rare to find fibrous wood and is strong enough to support a good weight. The silver is in such good order I don't think it's had much use in the last 100 years. The ferrule is original and made of steel and brass. A large pommel which is comfortable to hold and lean on. Perfect for an every day cane. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
