I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire. In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company. Today most of my business is carried out via the internet. Any successful antiques business, and particularly mine, remains a way of life and a hobby, it continues to give me enormous enjoyment and satisfaction. I hope this is reflected by my commitment to a very high quality of service which I have always given over the years. I prefer to deliver sold items in person where possible to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Description
I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. I have therefore made considerable reductions to the prices of my stock. Still able to deliver to most areas, so if I can be of any help please do not hesitate to get in touch. This is a very decorative inlaid Regency period octagonal box. Veneered mainly in sycamore with its original stained colour. The top is inlaid with floral satinwood and boxwood and has a classical printed picture in the centre. The box has its original brass carrying handles. The colour and polished exterior surface are all original. The box opens to reveal an interior lined in old red paper which shows signs of age.
