This delightful mid 20th Century vintage Royal Doulton English porcelain figurine, "Sweet & Twenty" ~ Hn 1298, decorated in a red and blue-green colourway, was designed by leading Doulton artist Leslie Harradine, and was issued from 1928 to 1969. Perennially popular, this is one of the most successful models ever to have been produced by Royal Doulton. This example fully marked on the underside in green with the Royal Doulton printed backstamp of the period, together with the numeral 12, indicating that this figurine was potted in 1939, the title, Sweet & Twenty, Rd No 737560, { for 1928 }, plus indistinct impressed Model Number.
