Description
A beautiful quality Chippendale revival mahogany display cabinet, this has some elegant and delicate carving, including a harebell design either side of the door and the ball and claw feet which finish the cabriole legs. The interior is lined with a beige watered moire fabric and there are three plate glass shelves which sit on the ring supports inside. The sides of the serpentine shape cabinet are glazed, and below the display area there are two drawers to the front, with lockable cupboards either side. This lovely piece is a good size for a larger collection of display objects and will look gorgeous in any home with a period interior.
Dating to circa 1860, this is made of mahogany and originates from England.
In generally lovely condition, the lining fabric appears new. There is slight damage to one of the harebell carvings on the right side of the door, but this is not obtrusive. The key is available and fits the locks for both the glazed door and the side cupboards.
