Description
These are lovely individually hand painted dessert plates by Davenport, a pottery which operated between 1793-1887. These bear a tiny impressed mark to the base 'DAVENPORT' in capital letters, which dates them to the early 19th century. The paintings are detailed and extremely nicely executed. Each plate has a different painting of a landscape or seascape. Each has a bright pink rim with an ornate transfer printed inner border.
