With times changing and on-line services growing, Leslie made the decision in more recent years to solely trade online, selling mostly Antique Pocket Watches and the occasional clock or pocket watch fob and chain. Silver John Ward Verge Pocket Watch London, England - Circa 1800 Worldwide Shipping!! This silver open-face large verge pocket watch was made by John Ward in London, England circa 1800. Aside from a few minor dents and cracks, it is in good condition for its age and would make it a perfect collectors’ addition. Dial:- The white enamel dial has black Arabic hour markers and Arabic minute markers. It has breguet hands and a winding hole at the four position. The dial is slightly damaged around the edge. Movement:- The key wind verge escapement movement comes with two original keys and a large bow. The movement has a balance bridge and round pillars. It is beautifully embellished and engraved John Ward, Fore Street, London with the serial number 6991. This pocket watch is currently functioning well, but due to its antique nature, we cannot guarantee precise accuracy. Case:- The watch lies in a smooth silver consular case with various etchings imprinted on the front. The inside of the case is numbered 4707.
