An early 20th Century timer for operating a gas valve, similar to ones used on the old street gas lamps.
The timing mechanism is a good quality clock one with a platform balance, working well and offered with a key. A part of industrial history that displays well in a polished brass case with part of the gas inlet pipe still attached.

Please be aware that the item is old and antique and study any photographs to satisfy yourself as to its condition as much as possible.
While we take all efforts to provide something that is fit for the use intended there many be various condition issues that are commensurate with age and considered part of its history, and are very subjective.
