Small Regency Mahogany Antique Cellaret / Wine Box
This Small Early 19th Century Regency Mahogany Antique Cellaret / Wine Box dates from ca. 1830 and has a flat top (ideal for using as a coffee or wine table) with moulded edge on a tapering body and stands on a plain plinth. The lid lifts up to reveal an interior with the original blue lining paper, originally used to store wine but now ideal for storing newspapers, magazines etc. This fine piece of antique furniture has beautiful charm and character and the mahogany has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
