Spectacular Quality Georgian Mahogany Antique Chest
Constructed from The Finest Quality Mahogany Timbers This Truly Spectacular 19th Century antique is a wonderful practical and useful piece of furniture dating from around 1780 in the Georgian period. It has an unusual moulded lift up lid with storage compartment ideal for storing bedding, above two over two graduating cock beaded drawers with brass swan neck handles. This antique chest is full of the charm and character that you would expect from a true antique, it even retains the original blue lining paper and stands on shaped bracket feet.The Mahogany has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
