We are delighted to offer this stunning sunburst green enamel and sterling silver cigarette case, made by Walker & Hall in Birmingham 1937. With practicality, elegance and style combined in one, this cigarette case is the perfect accoutrement for any tobacciana collection or collectors of enamelware. The case features a slightly unusual convex and curved design which fits into the palm of the hand very ergonomically. The top lid features a wonderful blue guilloche enamel with a fine starburst/ray pattern. The interior is fully silver gilt which provides a layer of protection from the contents inside oxidising/tarnishing the silver. The push button clasp still functions very well with an audible 'snap' upon closure, keeping all contents held within safely. Whilst originally designed for holding cigarettes, this case could also be used for short-form cigars, holding matches or small items. A perfect gift or addition for the discerning individual and an equally delightful conversation starter.
