Wonderful piece of Arts & Crafts furniture sitting in good aged condition. Made especially for a period hallway, this one could work in a bedroom or even commercial space with ease. The well panelled pair of oak doors with bud shaped copper strap hinges open by way of the two original solid copper and brass drop knobs. The doors open to reveal a super looking well fitted, smart and so often lost interior with a useful long top hat shelf, fitted rail with removable brass hooks, round bevelled oak shield shaped framed mirror, two little door shelves and of course an umbrella or cane rack with its drip tray. What more would one wish for! The hall robe sits in great order with day to day historic marks but nothing nasty - the piece is of solid oak with oak panelled back having its embossed number with a pleasing tone and grain and is of course heavy.
