This is a well carved and shaped model that has much better definition than the much later, mass produced models. Rocking on the attractive boat design as opposed to the swing/stand designs that followed in the 20th Century. This particular base has been fitted with front and back stops to help curtail over enthusiastic children. These could be removed or lessened for thrill seekers if required on purchase. This rocking horse was not in the same condition when it was acquired. Bald, battered and bruised, this horse suffered at the hands of a thousand grand nationals, escaped from millions of Apaches and taken to the very brink of existence. Had it been a later, poorer model it would not have survived for us to be able to restore it to its former glory. The long wait and expense with our restorers was well worth the time and money. Whilst we have previously sold these beasts to window dressers and interior designers, if we were honest, this horse is ready for children to play on and start another lifetime of make believe and love.
