Victorian Walnut & Inlaid Jewellery Box

A Victorian walnut jewellery box, the top and front with wide geometric inlaid marquetry lines, the top with hexagonal vacant cartouche, the front with matching keyhole escutcheon. The box opens to reveal the original mahogany fitted interior, re-lined in a plush pink velvet. The lift-out tray reveals a further storage area beneath. To the right of the box a brass pin releases the spring loaded side drawer. With working lock & key. c.1870 30.5cm x 23cm x 17cm high.
