Victorian Writing Slope With Ink Bottles And Secret Drawers

Victorian mahogany writing slope with brass corners, brass escutcheon and matching brass cartouche. Inside, the box is fitted with a leather writing surface. There is also a pen tray and two original glass inkwells. Includes a key. The brass has been lightly polished and it displays very well inside and out. By lifting the wooden partition next to the right hand inkwell the three hidden drawers are revealed. There is no major damage to the wood exterior and the patination is beautiful. It measures 44 x 24 x 17 cm.
