Exceptional, fine and impressive vintage George VI English sterling silver Art Deco tobacco box/canister; an addition to our diverse silver boxes collection.
This exceptional vintage George VI sterling silver box has a plain cylindrical form.
The surface of the body is plain and unembellished with applied stepped moulded borders to the upper and lower rims.
This canister is fitted with the original embossed tiered push fit cover surmounted with an impressive Art Deco style Bakelite ball finial accented with a silver plateau to the upper portion.
This impressive example of vintage silverware was originally a tobacco box, however, by virtue of its size this versatile box could be used for a multitude of functions.
