Walker & Hall Silver Topped, Cut Glass Sugar Caster, Sheffield 1926

Offered for sale is a Walker & Hall silver topped, cut glass sugar caster, hallmarked Sheffield 1926. The glass is cut in a lattice hobnail style with a band of stylised thistle or palm leaf design around the top and star burst to the base. The silver top is elegantly shaped and aesthetically pleasing. On the collar of the silver mount are very clear, crisp hallmarks for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 19256 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. Here the silver maker's mark is also visible (although rubbed) for the renowned silversmiths: Walker & Hall. A lovely addition to any dining table setting or a wonderful gift.
