The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement, by Beguelin & Cie Sa (Btco) for Ingersoll, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Ingersoll name.
The Ingersoll range of 15 jewelled lever watches was introduced into Britain in 1925.
The watch measures 32mm wide excluding the winding crown and 32mm high excluding the fixed lugs. The case is 14ct gold filled. There is some surface marking and some rubbing but not too detrimental at all. Some slight unevenness to the back of the watch.
The lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with blued steel hands. There is a very small patch of damage in from number 2, and some short very light hairlines which are barely visible to the naked eye.
A later leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
