Gents rare World War 2 Omega T17 tank watch, 1939.
The watch has an Omega 15-jewel T17 hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 8309443 which dates it back to 1930. The movement is protected by an inner dust cover.
The watch measures 22mm wide excluding the winding crown and 33.5mm high, although originally a gent’s watch, it would suit a slimmer wrist. The stainless steel case is in good condition for a World War 2 piece, just general light surface marking, and a couple of slightly heavier scratches above the lens, but all very acceptable. The inside of the case back is signed with the Omega logo. This is the rare model Ck 690 Omega case with the hooded lugs.
Later winding crown.
The convex lens is in good condition (some white reflection showing in the photos).
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands. There is some age related darkening to the dial but still easy to read the time.
A later leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
All Prices Include UK Postage (excluding Northern Ireland).
All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
We are a Vat registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.
Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the red 'Buy Now' button on each listing page.
