Watch: Gents Zodiac Sst36000 Wrist Watch

The watch has a calibre 86 21-jewel automatic movement which is working nicely and it has a hacking feature. The calibre 86 was first launched in 1970. The movement is signed Zodiac. The watch measures 39mm wide excluding the winding crown and 38mm high excluding the lugs. The case would originally have been gold plated but this has been polished back, probably some time ago. The case is in good condition, just a few small areas of marking to the back, nothing serious at all. The back of the watch is also signed with the Zodiac name. It also states that the watch is water protected but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture. The lens has a small mark but you have to look closely to see it. The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds hand and day and date displays (the date is initially set by turning the hands forwards, and the date is quickset at first position).
