Edward H Thompson (1879-1949) a known British artist, his works fetch up to $4,605 US dollars. He is considered one of the finest Lakeland artists of his era, he worked in watercolour & was able to seize the natural charm of landscapes of his indigenous birthplace in Cumbria. He was born in the large village of Seaton which is a civil parish in Cumbria England. Historically part of Cumberland close to the Lake District. It is home to around 5,000 people and is one of the largest villages in England. He worked in a factory office nearby coastal town at the mouth of the River Derwent, west coast of Cumbria. He adored to paint which was his greatest passion in life, he painted during his spare time, eventually he had a studio in Cockermouth. His works are highly sought after & are held in private collections around the world along with being exhibited at Gladstone & Patterson along in other galleries & auction houses.
