Description
1955 Omega Seamaster automatic wristwatch. A two tone silvered dial with contrasting finishes to the outer hour track and a darker finish to the inner minute track. Applied steel Arabic numerals to the quarters, with batons in a 'dagger' form for the rest. Signed Swiss Made below 6 o'clock. The hours and minutes are indicated by 'dauphine' hands with a central lume strip.
A thick stainless steel case with snap on back and bezel. The lugs on this reference are slightly thicker than the standard models, earning it the nickname of the 'beefy lugs Seamaster'. Original Omega 'Clover' crown. This watch bears the reference 2846-2848 1SC.
The watch is powered by a 19 jewel caliber 501 Omega mechanism. The 14million serial numbers date the watch to 1955.
