Description
Offered for your consideration is this most attractive antique Charles Horner hatpin fully hallmarked with the Ch initials and with a full set of English hallmarks for Chester 1911. This hat pin is also fitted with a bayonet pin marked Pat 1679 and is illustrated on page 150 of Tom Lawson's book "Charles Horner of Halifax". The hatpin measures a long 28.5cm in length and is offered in very good condition with no damage to the silver head. The citrine thistle is in good order with some light edge fritting (only visible with magnification) and the hat pin has a long and straight bayonet point steel pin which has a sharp point and has light age related tarnish.
