Antique Silver Mounted Ruby Red Overlay Perfume Scent Cologne Bottle Birmingham 1899

On offer is this exquisite antique crystal perfume bottle standing an impressive 17 cm in height and with a maximum diameter of approx. 11 cm. This perfume bottle has a substantial weight of 650 g. The bottle has a bulbous form with matching stopper and has silver collar fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1899 and with the maker's mark Wcg for W. C. Griffiths. The perfume bottle is made of stunning ruby red over clear crystal and is masterfully cut with oval lenses and diamond panels which beautifully display the coloured layers. The base has deep star cut design and the stopper is also cut with matching diamond panels and star design to the top. This fine antique perfume bottle is offered in good condition with some nibbles to some of the high points but there are no large chips, cracks or fractures. The silver collar is free of dents or dings and the neck of the bottle is undamaged. Thank you for looking.
