Description
We are delighted to offer this spectacular antique Edwardian 15ct gold turquoise, diamond and pearl pendant necklace made c.1910. Apparent upon a quick glance, this pendant presents an exquisite & elegant bow and heart-shaped Edwardian design that is unlike any modern/contemporary pieces. Impressive fine gold mounts and ornate curved borders are complemented by seed pearls that taper in size and have been set meticulously. This particular example features some of the most desirable and finest traits found in this type of pendant. In the three-tier design, each gold-mounted section moves freely from one another; a testament to the goldsmith's skill and craftsmanship. The centre of the pendant is further highlighted by a freely suspended 'puffy' heart which is profusely set from edge to edge with more pearls and a single diamond embedded within a ring of turquoise stones. This design truly comes to life and can be most appreciated upon wearing in natural lighting with movement. Upon holding in hand or wearing, there is a reassuring quality weight/feel that is superior to counterpart pendants of this era and design. Overall, a superb and exemplary piece of fine Edwardian jewellery, whether as a gift or for a personal collection, this is one of those pieces bound to be a conversation starter and a delightful way to express your passion for fine antiques, design and jewellery. Turquoise is known to be the birthstone for December, diamonds for April and pearls for June. The pendant is unmarked as is common with articles of the period and as such we have fully tested for 15ct gold. Ready to wear out of the box: All of our pendants also include the photographed complimentary 9ct solid gold (modern) chain so that you can enjoy your newly acquired treasure straight out of the box. All of our jewellery comes with a complimentary hard shell gift box with a velvet interior. We aim to overemphasize and state these issues to avoid disappointment and thus please rest assured they are not significant nor affect the usage of the items. Please refer to the photos for further details. *Please note: all other items are for display purposes only and this listing is for the item listed in the title only.
