This is an antique kitchen cheese keeper. An English, ceramic butter dish, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
Tastefully decorative and in pleasing antique condition that displays a desirable aged patina throughout. Quality ceramic in a crisp white hue, and accentuated with vibrant decor. Well sized keeper lid sits upon an attractive plate with decorative rim. Adorned with gilt finish to the the navy blue leaves and handle. Maker's mark to base for Burgess and Leigh or Burleigh, in the Japonica pattern.
This is a charming antique kitchen cheese keeper, with great colour and wonderful decorative appeal. Delivered ready for the home.
