Antique Latticino Striped Waisted Perfume Scent Bottle c.1880

On offer is this delightful antique Clichy style perfume bottle dating circa 1880 and measuring 8.5cm in height. This scent bottle is made of two different shades of blue, white and clear latticino swirling stripes in cased clear glass and has the added cachet of a wonderful hourglass, or waisted form. This perfume bottle has a brass collar and hinged lid with attractive repousse decoration to the top. The bottle also retains the original clear glass inner stopper. The bottle has a flattened base but is not able to stand upright without support. This antique scent bottle is offered free of chips, cracks or fractures to the glass body and stopper. I can see some old putty around the inner neck rim perhaps from an old repair and shown in the final image. The lid fits firmly and securely and has no dents or dings.
