Description
A fine and impressive antique 0.29 carat diamond and 0.01 carat ruby, 9 carat white gold Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders brooch; part of our diverse sweetheart brooch collection.
This fine and impressive diamond brooch has been crafted in 9ct white gold.
The brooch has been modelled in the form of the crest of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Princess Louise's).
This impressive sweetheart brooch incorporates a central initial 'L', interlaced and reversed, ornamented with ten pavé set Dutch cut diamonds; this initial represents the late Princess Louise.
The piece is further ornamented with the Argyll's crest of a boar's head to one side and the Sutherland's crest of a cat-a-mountain to the other.
These two animal crests are embellished with a total of twelve pavé set Dutch cut diamonds. The boar's eye is represented with impressive 0.01ct round faceted cut ruby.
This central arrangement is surmounted with a Princess's coronet, ornamented with a further five Dutch cut diamonds.
This exceptional crest design is mounted to a plain hallmarked white gold bar.
The antique diamond sweetheart brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening.
The impressive military brooch has been hallmarked to the reverse of the bar with the 9ct white gold mark (9ct) and has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 9 carat gold.
This antique diamond regimental brooch is supplied with an Idgl diamond and gemstone grading report card.
Note: * The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Princess Louise's) was formed in 1881 and joined the Royal Regiment of Scotland in 2006. This was a line infantry regiment of the British Army and their motto was 'Ne Obliviscaris, Sans Peur' - Without fear, do not forget.
