Description
Stunning, fine and impressive antique 1920s 2.36 carat diamond, platinum and 9 carat white gold cocktail watch; part of our collection of diamond watches. This stunning, fine and impressive antique diamond cocktail watch has been crafted in platinum with a 9ct white gold strap. The rectangular watch dial displays the Ciro name, in addition to Arabic hour markers encompassed with minute marked chapter ring. The wristwatch retains the original blue steeled hands. This manual wind watch is fitted with a plain crown/winder. The anterior face of the platinum watch case is embellished with ten impressive pavé set eight cut diamonds. The graduating lugs and articulated links of the strap bear impressive feature collet set Old European cut diamonds, framed with further pavé set eight cut diamonds. This fine and impressive 1920's diamond cocktail watch is fitted with a 9ct gold rope chain style strap, via a collar design bearing a further eight cut diamond. This antique diamond watch secures to the reverse with a hallmarked 14ct white gold hinged latch. The watch is hallmarked to the reverse of the case with the platinum mark (Platin) and the clasp bears the 14ct gold mark (585); the watch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum, and the strap is confirmed as 9 and 14 carat gold. The fine antique cocktail watch is supplied with two Idgl diamond grading report certificates for the feature stones, in addition to an Idgl diamond grading report card for the supporting stones. Such diamond examples in this desirable design are becoming increasingly difficult to locate. Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone. This original antique cocktail watch is excellent quality, set with high colour and clarity graded diamonds displaying a fine white colour and brilliance. The watch movement is in full working order. This impressive timepiece is an excellent gauge of platinum and gold and is in excellent condition, with clear marks to the case back and catch. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of antique diamond jewellery.
