Early Victorian Country House Dining Table Leaf Cupboard c.1850

If you had a bit of money and owned a country pile in the Victorian period, you required the use of a large table and when one was entertaining with extra guests the table was extended by means of additional leaves and the need for a rather good looking cupboard to store the extra table leaves in. And here we have one! Not many of these around and this one is in very original condition. It’s a lovely worn mellow piece which sits on its original iron castors and could be used in various ways with its narrow side door – maybe for dog leads etc in the boot room. It’s pretty much untouched with its original paint with panels to both sides and brass knob for opening. If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with moving the item.
