Edwardian Royal Crown Derby Fine Imari Teacup & Saucer 4591

A large circular reserve in the centre of the saucer and mirrored around the lower half of the cup depicts stylised leaves and flowers framed with a gilt seaweed and diaper pattern border. The blue gilt covered ground reserves chrysanthemums in salmon and pale green enamel and two shaped reserves with a simple vine decoration and gilt dotted background. Inside the cup rim is a stylish shaped blue border with gilt scrolls and the rims and ornate scrolled handle are also gilded.
Factory marks to the bases and painted pattern number 4591, date cipher for 1908.
