Description
Charming Edwardian silver inkstand with 2 original cut glass and silver mounted inkwells. The stand is boat shaped with reeded rim and diamond pierced detail to each end. Set on 4 slim cabriole shaped legs with kicked out feet. The inkwells sit in inset oval cups in the stand with facet cut, curved walls, silver mounts to the base and hinged silver lids with pagoda finials. A central raised oval cartouche is unengraved.
The base has full hallmarks for Sheffield 1907, maker initials for Atkin Brothers (Harry Atkin) and the inkwell lids have corresponding partial marks.

Condition is excellent with no damage and only light surface wear. The hallmarks on the base are very slightly rubbed and there is a little ink staining to the underside of one of the wells.
