A fine Queen Anne Walnut Lowboy of good colour and patina, in wonderful original condition apart from the handles that are later replacements.
The cabriole legs are superbly shaped with a carved bead to the knee, the ankle is nicely cut away at the back to form a hoof foot above a turned ball.
The Ogee moulding to the edge of the top has been made from cross grain rosewood which has a striking appearance.
The applied double bead surrounding the drawers appears to be made from dark rosewood in order to give a contrasting affect to the light coloured Walnut. The top is in figured matched Walnut with feather banding and cross band. Having clean original Oak drawer linings.
