Description
Fine quality geometric abstract by Ken Walch. His abstract works are sort after items and my stock of his work is sadly diminishing.
Born in Wimbledon 1927. After school he moved to Australia in the early 1950’s and won a place at the National Gallery Art School in Melbourne where he studied under Murray Griffin until 1953 when he returned to England. He then enrolled at St Martins School of Art where his principal tutor was the Colourist, Fredrick Gore. Gore introduced him to English post impressionism and the use of colour to emphasise the emotional aspects of painting.
He then took a diploma in Art teaching and taught in various schools until his retirement.
He has exhibited London at the Royal Academy and the Federation of Painters and Sculptors. His work has also been exhibited in Belgium, Germany, Hong Kong and Ireland with paintings in private collections throughout the world.
His pointillist paintings show his skill at capturing nature in its ever changing forms in a subtle yet vibrant fashion.
