This pair of 19th Century (c.1875) Victorian antique inlaid walnut pier cabinets are a true pair, where the doors lock in opposite directions. Each cabinet with a glazed panel door that open to allow access to the lined shelves. The concave frieze with fine marquetry inlays and the well-cast gilt mounts to the stiles to each side of the door at the top, a marquetry panel below this mount and then a further filigree mount at the plinth. The plinth with the applied cast gilt brass moulding with multiple joined anthemion’s around the base.
