Pocket Watch Chain Fob Compass & Magnifying Glass 1920s Large Antique Brass Fob

Gentleman's original antique compass and integral magnifying glass chunky fob for a pocket watch chain. (Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; closed 6.3 cm height (including the top ring), opened; 7cm height, 2.6cm width, 1cm depth and weighs a very respectable 13.5 grams. Golden brass case (was once nickel plated but much of this has worn away over the years) incorporating to the front a raised, circular shaped compass having a brass retaining ring and original bevel edge glass (not acrylic) and an ivory coloured dial with a very attractive black starburst design radiating outwards and black directional markers. Blued steel and silver needle/pointer which moves freely. The back of the case is smooth, highly polished and free from any initials or inscriptions. Within the case is an integral magnifying glass (original not acrylic - measures 1.9cm diameter) which slides in and out by moving the top bail (operates correctly and once in any position stays snugly in place as it should) and the magnification through the lense is excellent. Robust and secure big brass top ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with just some light overall wear / patina, one or 2 little 'flea nibbles' around the bevel edge of the compass glass and little surface scratches - all commensurate with age.
