Gentleman's original antique Railway Guards large 'The ACME Thunderer' pocket watch chain brass escargot whistle fob (they are more commonly chrome) in full working order. (Please excuse the reflections in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 6.2cm length (including the end ring), 2.2cm width (taken at widest point), 2.7cm height and weighs a heavy 36.7 grams. Highly polished escargot shaped brass Railway Guards whistle which is clearly stamped to the front in arched script; The ACME Thunderer Made In England. Original cork ball to inside and the noise of the whistle is very loud and shrill (would need to be heard across a busy Railway platform). Big robust and secure brass end ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with no damage and just a little bit of very light overall patina / small surface scratches commensurate with age.
