Description
The watch has a 15 jewel Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1929, together with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison, a prolific case maker and supplier to various watch makers. The case is in good condition, just a hint of unevenness to the back.
The acrylic lens is in good condition.
The dial is signed Kay’s Keyless “Challenge”. William Kay set up Kays of Worcester in 1890. Customers bought items from handbills in a folder and initially the goods on offer were limited to household items, jewellery, clocks and watches such as this one. The goods were bought in and labelled with the Kays name. Eventually William’s son Jack took over the running of the business. The company continued to expand and trade successfully, becoming one of Worcester’s largest employers.
It is in lovely condition, just a 3mm scratch at the top but it is not too noticeable to the naked eye.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.

All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.

Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the red 'Buy Now' button on each listing page.
