Rare Large Minton Porcelain Figure Arabia Model 137 c.1848

This is a fabulous large and very rare Minton porcelain figure of "Arabia" c.1848. Superb modelling and decoration as always with Minton, an Eastern lady finely dressed in exotic robes and jewels standing beside a a craggy rock on which she rests a water ewer. Rich enamels and gilding and some very delicate porcelain lacework along the hem of her dress and around the neck line and arm. Model number 137 in the Minton pattern book. Green ermine mark painted to the base.
