Rare Pair of Spode Sprigged Griffin Candlesticks c.1820

These are a rare pair of Spode “sprigged” chamber sticks modelled as Griffins. This particular model is shown in the Spode 1820 Shape Book entitled “Nozell to Griffin Candlestick” (the shape book is an online resource and therefore verifiable). One of the candlesticks has the impressed “Spode” mark to the underside, the other is unmarked. Both have a sticker denoting it as from the “Worlock Collection”. Both display well as can be seen in my pictures however, I do think that judging from the discolouration to their tails, there has been historic restoration to both.
