Description
Purchased from an elderly lady once an employee of The Fort Dunlop factory close to Birmingham, the once home of Dunlop tyres, who herself purchased them back in the 1970s from the factory.
They have a great look with a comfortable curved back, lovely shaped arms and a pleasing kick to the legs - classic for the era. We have carefully and lightly cleaned the frames to ensure that the history and use marks remain. We have a few well executed repairs and all seats are good for use. In addition they are just back from being freshly, professionally, fully upholstered with new webbing, filling and topped in a thick rich natural tan coloured English leather which will age up very well. The chairs would make a great addition to a residential or commercial space.
Billy Hunt has successfully focused on British furniture and lighting since 2014 and always has an interesting ever changing selection of carefully chosen pieces from the early 1800s to late 1970s. Our base is a large Victorian 2 storey red brick barn on a wonderful traditionally run country estate in Staffordshire. We are able to offer a first class upholstery service and also assistance in interior design if requested.
Our extensive client base covers: the celebrated interior designers, film companies and ladies and gentlemen like us who enjoy our professional, friendly and knowledgeable approach. If you wish to visit just give us a call or email.
