Liking the posture on this Victorian writing desk with its plum coloured leather inset to the top, deep reeded legs and sensible proportions. The desk sits in nice used condition with historic wear in the right places - the plum coloured leather inset is an older replacement but works well with the desk and the mahogany tones. We have 2 useful long drawers to the front and the piece is well made and would work in or against a wall in a room. As mentioned, expect day to day wear with bumps and knocks but nothing nasty or off putting. The desk sits firm, the brass collared pot castors are fine and we have ensured the desk is ready to place after a light and careful clean. A great looking English Victorian Desk C1880.
