Description
A useful compact Victorian pine cupboard dating to the second half of the 19th century.
This piece is perfect for anyone who loves old pine and has a country look which will suit a cottage or farmhouse setting.
Made from solid pine the cupboard is ideal for use in a kitchen or dining room, well suited for use as a small larder or a storage space for pots, pans and crockery.
The cupboard has a single panelled door which opens to reveal two removable shelves.
The door is fitted with a brass knob and keyhole escutcheon, although sadly the door lock has been removed. The back of the cupboard has a makers stamp for John Curtis & Son, shop fitters from Leeds, who traded from 1879-1874.
The wood is very characterful with a waxed finish which has a low sheen.
